iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max
The 14 was the generation where the Mini disappeared and the Plus arrived, so the four sizes here are 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. The two Pro models also carry a noticeably larger camera array than the standard pair, which is why their cases are cut with a deeper opening and a thicker rim around it.
Pick the model above the grid first. A 14 case will go onto a 14 Pro and then fail at the camera.
The four bodies
- iPhone 14: the standard size, two lenses
- iPhone 14 Plus: the large body with the same two lens camera
- iPhone 14 Pro: standard size, three lenses and a much deeper housing
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: large body, same camera as the Pro
The 14 and the 14 Pro are the same height and width, which is exactly why people order the wrong case. The camera opening is what separates them.
Which one suits how you leave the house
If you already carry a wallet and have no intention of stopping, take Lucca. It is the thinnest thing on the page, the back is bare leather, and Qi charging works through it.
If the wallet is the thing you keep forgetting, Capri holds the two cards you actually use. Florence and Ravenna hold the rest, and Ravenna lets the wallet stay home when you want it to. Fermo hangs off a strap for the days you want nothing in your hands at all.
Cards and charging
Capri takes two or three cards against the back of the phone. Florence and Ravenna hold four or five inside the cover with room for folded notes. RFID blocking sits behind the slots on all three.
Every case here charges wirelessly. On the wallet models, lay the phone side on the pad. Cards between the coil and the phone stop it working, which is true of every wallet case rather than a fault in these.
The leather, and the box it arrives in
Full-grain cowhide outside, suede inside, stitched along the full edge. Nothing is sanded or stamped to fake an even surface, so each piece shows the grain it came with and darkens in its own way.
Every case ships in a rigid box, which is most of the reason these end up as gifts. Add initials for 18.90 dollars on the product page if that is where it is going.
Buying for a 14 in 2026
The iPhone 14 is now a hand-me-down phone as often as a first phone, and cases get bought for both situations.
- The 14 and the 14 Pro are different sizes despite looking alike from the front. The Pro carries the larger camera plateau.
- MagSafe works through the shell on the magnetic models. The 14 has the magnets built in, so no adapter ring is needed.
- The 14 Plus and the 14 Pro Max share a screen size but not a body, so their cases are not interchangeable.
If the phone is being handed on to someone in the family, a folio is the safer choice. The flap is what stops a screen cracking when a phone slides off the arm of a sofa, which is where a good number of them die.
