Galaxy Z Fold Series
Handmade full-grain leather folios for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, 5, 6 and 7.
Cases for the Galaxy Z Fold
Trieste is the folio built for these phones: a shell on the back, a cover over the outer screen, and card slots inside. Wallet ID is the other option on this page for the Fold 7. Both are cut for the Fold 4, 5, 6 or 7 specifically, because each generation changed how wide the phone sits when it is closed.
Nothing crosses the hinge. The phone folds flat with the case on.
Which Fold you have
- Z Fold 4: the widest of the four when closed
- Z Fold 5: thinner, with the gapless hinge
- Z Fold 6: squarer corners and a wider cover screen
- Z Fold 7: the newest, and the one Wallet ID is cut for
Each generation changed the closed width, which is the measurement a folio has to match.
The case a folding phone actually needs
Folding phones are expensive and the edges are the part that suffers, because the two halves meet along a line that a drop lands on directly. A leather folio adds a layer there without adding the bulk of a rugged case, and it covers the outer screen, which is the one you look at most and scratch first.
Full-grain cowhide, suede lining, RFID blocking behind the card slots.
How the folio works on a Fold
The shell holds the back half, the cover closes over the outer screen, and the card slots sit inside that cover. Open the phone and the cover folds flat against the back rather than getting in the way.
The S Pen is an accessory rather than a built-in on these phones, so there is no silo for a case to block.
Cards and charging
Three or four cards fit inside the cover, with an RFID blocking layer behind the slots. Wireless charging works through the leather with the phone closed.
Full-grain cowhide outside, suede inside. Engraving is available for 18.90 dollars on the product page.
Common questions
Does the cover get in the way when the phone is open? No. It folds flat against the back.
Will a Fold 6 case fit a Fold 7? No. The closed width changed, and that is the measurement the folio is built around.
How many cards fit? Three or four, inside the cover.
Can I still use the outer screen with the case closed? The cover has to be opened first. That is the trade for having the glass covered.
A last word on the Fold. The two panels are different weights and the case is cut to respect that, so the phone still balances in one hand when it is open. A shell that adds the same thickness to both sides makes a Fold feel top heavy, which is the complaint we hear most often about generic cases for it.
