iPhone 13 Series

Four sizes are on this page: the 13 Mini, the 13, the 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max. The Mini is the one that matters here, because most case makers stopped cutting for it within two years and people who own one tend to keep it for a long time.

Apple made the Mini for two generations and then stopped, so anyone still carrying a 13 Mini chose it deliberately and is unlikely to be talked out of it. The problem is that case makers cleared their Mini stock first, and what is left in shops is usually clear plastic.

A slim snap-on keeps the phone the size it was bought for. A folio adds bulk that defeats the point, unless you want the wallet badly enough to accept it.

Colour availability thins out on older models. If a shade you want is missing from the swatches, it is sold out for that size rather than hidden behind a filter.

Capri takes two or three cards, Florence and Ravenna four or five. RFID blocking sits behind the slots. Wireless charging works through the leather with the phone side against the pad.

Care is a dry cloth and nothing else most of the time. Keep it away from heat, and put a small amount of leather cream on once or twice a year if it starts to feel dry.

A case bought in year three of a phone gets a shorter life than one bought in year one, so the question is whether full-grain leather is worth it at that point. The honest answer is that it depends on what you do next. The leather outlasts the phone, and a folio or a crossbody case holds cards regardless of which phone is inside, but a snap-on shell is tied to this exact model and stops being useful the day you upgrade.
