What should you know about the Galaxy S26 Ultra before choosing a case?

The S26 Ultra is a big, flat phone with a stylus inside it. Samsung lists a 6.9-inch display, a 7.9 mm thickness and a weight of 214 g, with an Armor Aluminum frame, Corning Gorilla Armor 2 on the front and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back. It is rated IP68 and ships with One UI 8.5.

Three details matter for a case:

• The S Pen lives in a silo on the bottom edge. The S26 Ultra S Pen needs no charging or pairing, and Samsung states that Bluetooth features such as Air Actions are not supported. That makes the pen simpler, but you still pull it out of the phone dozens of times a day, so the bottom edge of any case has to leave that opening clear.
• The camera bump is large. The rear setup is a 200 MP wide camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom. A raised leather lip around the lenses keeps the glass off the table when the phone lies flat.
• There are no magnets in the phone. Samsung told reporters the S26 series supports Qi2 through compatible cases instead of building magnets into the phone, citing thinner and lighter designs. Samsung also added a Privacy Display on the Ultra that can hide the full screen, specific apps or PIN entry from people beside you. It works through software, so a leather case changes nothing there. Lucca: for S Pen users who want the thinnest leather

The S26 Ultra is already a large phone. Lucca for the S26 Ultra adds the least bulk of any Venito case: leather wrapped over a snap-on shell, shock-absorbing padding on the back, and suede against the glass. The three S26 models share a design language but not dimensions, so a case for one will not fit another. Samsung lists the S26 at 6.3 inches and 167 g, the S26+ at 6.7 inches and 190 g, and the Ultra at 6.9 inches and 214 g. Full-grain leather keeps the outermost layer of the hide, the part with the tightest fibers. It is not sanded or coated with a printed grain, so it reacts to use: corners and edges darken first, the back picks up a soft sheen where your fingers rest, and small scuffs blend in after a few weeks.
